If you haven’t heard of Twigtale, you’re missing out. Twigtale offers personalized books for children featuring their pictures and names in stories that can be fun but also help with important transitions in their lives.
When I was asked to try out a book, my mind immediately jumped to my current battle with potty training my preschooler. As I’ve come to find out, not only can boys take a while to potty train, but it’s even more difficult with a child with a speech delay and a stubborn streak a mile wide. We have tried boot camp, bribery, distractions on the potty…he just won’t give up his pull ups.
So I made him a potty training book, included pictures that he posed for and later helped me pick out, and personalized the book to use his name and the words he’s familiar with us using. So far, he is infatuated with the book and it has slowly made him more interested in giving the potty another try.
The book itself is a square paperback with a colorful cover. Each page has one or two big pictures with a fun, easy to read font. Setting up the book was easy and a lot of fun. Twigtale gives a list of suggested pictures for each book, which I love. So I got the list and started taking pics.
